GTS Open Day_ Power Catamaran Hydrofoil Experience
MAKAI GTS OPEN DAY: AIGIO, GREECE

APRIL 17 – 18, 2026

MAKAI invites you to the historic shores of Aigio, Greece, for an exclusive first look and sea trial of the brand-new MAKAI M37 GTS.

As top maritime journalists from across Europe descend on the Gulf of Corinth to put our latest performance model to the test, we are opening our docks to customers who are ready to experience the next evolution of the power catamaran. If you are considering a move to a multihull, this is your opportunity to feel the GTS difference firsthand.

WHY THE GTS?

The “GTS” designation represents the pinnacle of our engineering. While the standard M37 redefined the sports cruiser, the GTS pushes the boundaries of what a 37-foot yacht can achieve by integrating factory-installed hydrofoil technology with high-performance QSPD surface drives.

THE POWER OF HYDROFOIL SUPPORT

Unlike a “flying” hydrofoil that leaves the water entirely, the GTS uses a strategic fixed-wing system between the hulls.

  • The “Weightless” Feel: At cruising speeds, the foil provides a massive 70%  lift, raising the hulls higher out of the water. This reduces drag by up to 30%, allowing for a staggering cruising efficiency of just 2.6 L/nm at 30 knots.

“2.6 L/nm at 30 knots”

  • Shock Absorption: The foil acts as a vertical damper. When you encounter the short, steep chop typical found in the Mediterranean, the system “cuts” the water and cushions the hull’s re-entry, virtually eliminating slamming.

STABILITY MEETS 45+ KNOT SPEEDS

The GTS isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about adrenaline with total composure.

  • Form Stability: Benefit from the wide beam of a catamaran that remains level at anchor and rock-solid at high speeds.

  • Surface Drive Precision: Powered by twin Yanmar 370hp diesels paired with surface drives, the GTS has been tested to a top speed of 45.7 knots.

  • Agile Handling: The foil support allows the GTS to lean into turns with the agility of a monohull while maintaining the stable footprint of a catamaran.
